"It woulda been awfully hard to explain to Chief what happened to my brand new patrol car."

The BYU police officer seriously opened with that line. After pulling me over for an 'unsafe lane change'. (I unsafely changed into His lane) They take themselves so seriously. And now I get to give them $50.

BYU police. That's an oxymoron, right? And they have a "Chief"?

Just when I start to forget why I hated that place...

This ranks right up there with "reckless use of a horn".

'No.'

you know who else takes themeselves too seriously? library security. this morning a security guard called my office so they could find out the name of a person who had a locker on the fifth floor, because a library employee had glanced into their locker and seen that they had library books in there and they wanted to make sure that the books were actually issued to the person, so they got the names of five people who they thought could be the library book stealers, so they could call them up and accuse them. can we say Fascism?
